A CongaChops Masterclass with the percussionist for Chick Corea— grooving, soloing, musical instinct and everything in between.
There aren't many percussionists who can move from playing timbales with the Spanish Harlem Orchestra to playing multi-percussion with Chick Corea without missing a beat. Luisito Quintero is one of them.
Raised in Caracas and mentored by his father and extended family before he was even a teenager, Luisito went on to build a career spanning stages and recordings with some of the biggest names in jazz and Latin music— Oscar D’Leon, Marc Anthony, Eddie Palmieri, and many many more. In his masterclass, he breaks down his approach to grooving creatively, the disciplined mindset he employed to master his instrument— and how that same mindset can transform the way you approach your own playing.
